you are a single practitioner, an imaging center, a radiology department
or a multi-facility institution. A facility can start with a single
MIPACS Storage Server and upgrade to multi-servers and add more
user licenses as their requirements grow.
RELIABLE

in a network load-balanced cluster, which provides a robust, fail-over
solution. In some sites, MiPACS Storage Server was able to deliver
99.9% uptime.

AND MAINTAIN - MiPACS Storage Server
installation procedure is almost completely automated and is very
fast and easy to complete. The server also comes with comprehensive
easy-to-follow manuals. MiPACS is available to run as a service
requiring no user interaction. Configuration and access to activity
information take place through the user-friendly service manager

NON-PROPRIETARY
- Institutions are not locked into
proprietary databases. They have full control of their data since
MiPACS Storage server uses Microsoft SQL database and stores the
images separately as DICOM media format to a storage device.
SECURE
- Users have the option to encrypt
images as well as an entire database. MiPACS Storage Server can
also communicate with DICOM clients and other DICOM servers over
the internet using 128-bit encryption as defined by the DICOM protocol.
System administrators can control who can access user information
and images.
HIPAA
COMPLIANT - MiPACS Storage
Server can be configured to only allow clients with a certain IP,
hostname or subnet mask to communicate with the server. It also
supports access control to image and patient information and extensive
user activity logging.
MULTI-SITE
SERVERS - MiPACS Storage server supports rule-based auto-forwarding
of images. For example, a satellite site server can forward all
images to a central server for permanent archiving.
FAST -
Supports lossy and lossless DICOM compression including JPEG2000.
Compression helps reduce bandwidth and storage requirements. Also
supports relational query and retrieve service for faster processing.
MAXIMUM
CONNECTIVITY - MiPACS Storage Server's unique on-the-fly
data conversion of images into different compression formats facilitates
connectivity with different applications. This allows applications
to view images that are stored as compressed on the server, when
it does not have support for compression.
PRIVATE
TAGS - MiPACS Storage Server is a Type 2 Server, meaning
it will store all private tags created by other applications as
is, and thus maintaining the integrity of the data.
SUPPORTS
ALL DICOM STORAGE OBJECTS - MiPACS supports all Storage SOP
classes defined in the DICOM 2003 updated standard.
BUILT-IN
DEBUGGING TOOLS - Includes extensive logging options for
tracking of DICOM communication problems.
DICOM
MEDIA SUPPORT - Can directly import images from DICOM Media
and also can export selected studies to a folder in DICOM removable
media format.
USER VALIDATION
- MiPACS Storage Server can be set to verify AE titles and IP address
or host name before giving access. System administrator can also
control what station can query ,store or retrieve images.
DICOM
STORAGE COMMITMENT - This DICOM service a key part of “Image
Management” because it shifts the responsibility for maintaining
and storing the images from the modality, to the PACS archive. MiPACS
Storage Server’s support of storage commitment allows modality
stations to automatically free up and reuse valuable local disk
space without user interaction.
