| Department of Veterans' Affairs Implements Medicor Imaging's MiPACS Dental Enterprise Solution
MiPACS Dental Enterprise Solution is currently being deployed throughout the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, with 19 VA Medical Centers already installed. MiPACS gives the VA a single software application that can capture digital radiographs from multiple brands of devices. Currently, MiPACS has been integrated in the VA with Sirona, Schick, Gendex, Planmeca and Air Techniques digital x-ray systems. MiPACS integrates tightly with the VA’s self-developed Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR), VistA. Through extensive communication with software developers and PACS engineers at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, MiPACS can query VistA’s patient information via Modality Worklist and can even store DICOM images directly to VistA Storage Server for use throughout the rest of the VA hospital.
